I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience in psychotherapy. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of community-based mental health settings—including in-home therapy, intensive outpatient programs, supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. I’m passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and families.
In 2007, I completed the Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellowship Program through the University of Massachusetts Boston, training under Ed Tronick and Kristie Brandt.
In 2008, I co-founded the Infant Parent Center, a nonprofit organization. With a special emphasis in pregnancy, postpartum anxiety/depression, parenting, trauma, and attachment with families and children 0-3.
I have extensive experience supervising interns and licensed therapists, as well as providing consultation and reflective practice support to educators working with families and young children.
In 2021, I transitioned from agency work to focus on my private practice in El Dorado Hills, the community where I have joyfully raised my three boys.
Specialties
Grief
I’m certified in End- of -Life issues through Snowline and UC Davis Hospice. I hold a sacred space for clients moving through the grief and loss process in my private practice. I feel honored to be able to come alongside and support individuals touched by grief. Some of these painful experiences include, miscarriage/infant loss, suicide, infertility, complicated relationships, unseen losses, and death of a loved one. Grief is an experience that cannot be denied. Grief is potent, and requires soulful attending.
Compulsive Behaviors & Habit Change
I often work with individuals who have struggled to maintain a way of life that aligns with their values, goals and hopes of satisfaction. I support individuals who are experiencing challenges related to alcohol use, addiction, and other compulsive or difficult-to-regulate behaviors. These concerns can show up in many ways, including patterns related to shopping, gambling, sexual behavior, pornography, video gaming, eating, internet use, exercise, or work.
PTSD/ Complex Trauma
I offer approaches such as EMDR, IFS, Brain-spotting and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to assist with mind body integration and deeper processing.
Perinatal Psychotherapy
Becoming a parent is one of life’s most profound and transformative journeys. It can bring incredible joy, but also moments of deep uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, and unexpected challenges.
For some, a morning run, nourishing meals, and the support of family and friends can ease the transition. For others, the emotional weight of anxiety, anger, sadness, or even shame can feel isolating and hard to talk about. Perfectionism, feelings of helplessness, or disappointment often add to the struggle — making it difficult to reach out, even when support is most needed.
I often invite partners into sessions, as support from both sides can be a powerful part of the healing process.
Attachment & Relationship patterns
I help clients understand and break repeating patterns, navigate fear of closeness or abandonment, fear in expressing emotions and learn to rebuild trust and emotional connection
Parenting & Family Dynamics
I have extensive experience working with children and families. I can help you with navigating the journey of parenthood.
I support parents navigate relationships with their adult children including significant others as the family system evolves and changes.
Life Transitions
Life transitions are times when things change—like starting something new, ending something, or moving into a different phase of life. Transitions can also be a chance to reflect on what matters to you and where you want to go next.
I tailor each session to your unique needs, blending these evidence-based approaches to support healing at both the emotional and nervous system levels
